My piece for ‘As The Crow Flies’ group show curated and organised by Ollie Silvester.
“Bringing together an array of artists from Bristol and beyond, from a starting point of two found black-and-white photographs, this exhibition asks: what happens if we decide to revive a memory that isn’t ours? To see its history back into existence through our own lens?”

The photos I was given reminded me of stories my mum would tell me of growing up in Wythenshawe in the 70s, and how everybody would leave for work and let their dogs out. The dogs would roam the estate freely in packs all day til they would be called in for their tea ready for another day of suburbia freedom tomorrow. She also told me of vivid memories of bright white dog poo that was everywhere because of questionable 70s dog food (but there wasn’t room on the wall hanging for that)
